How it works
The Sphere puts on educational programmes for children, teens and adults. In the morning, the Learning Hub is open to nursery, primary and secondary schools, while the afternoons are given over to children who attend inspiring, unusual after school clubs and courses for adults.
These take place in this futuristic building within the complex. Talks and workshops for the general public are held in the evening, where science meets learning. Activities range from the traditional – crafts such as working with wood or metal, to the modern – 3D printing and programming, for example. The capacities of the workshops and lab sessions are carefully managed to ensure everyone has enough space for themselves and attention from the tutor.
