Science on a Sphere

The Sphere contains equipment necessary to host the Science on a Sphere project from America. A different, fascinating topic on life on Earth and in the universe is discussed every month. It makes for a striking visual and informative experience.

Data gathered from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration are projected onto a spherical screen nearly two metres in diameter. Walking around the sphere is like wandering around the world. For example, there’s the opportunity to follow events from across the globe at different points in time. In addition to planetary and cosmic phenomena, the globe visualises the atmosphere and oceans, portraying occurrences and the surfaces of other planets. It has the ability to present everything in the world and the universe.
